Today we’ll show you how to waterproof the walls inside a curbless shower. We used Laticrete’s Hydro Ban Board. This makes waterproofing shower walls easy and fast.
Hydro Ban Boards can be cut with a utility knife or oscillating multi tool. Studs need to be 16″ on-center for 1/2″ boards.
In our prior video we installed the VIM curbless shower pan, https://youtu.be/vhr7eB9fBI4
Apply a bead of hydro ban sealant to the shower pan then set the Hydro Ban Board in that and flush with the stud wall.
Use Hydro Ban Board screws every 12″ on-center to secure the boards to studs.
There are a ton of details in our video, including tips for waterproofing around a window.
