I show an overview of some tips to replace a gas water heater and some products to make the job easier. Working with gas lines can be dangerous, if you are unsure or uncomfortable, hire a professional. I replaced my old water heater with a Reliance gas water heater. I used Watt's push fit valves rather than soldering valves to the copper pipe. I used Just For Copper to connect the copper pipe to the di-electric unions rather than soldering. I used a Brass Craft flexible gas connector rather than purchasing additional black pipe.
